Estimated between $21 to $23 million, the F1 sold for only $19.8 million. A bargain!
The stock market jitters have r eally dented the unobtanium market. /s

Oh jeez. But what if I'm a billionaire who bought these cars as investment vehicles? Are you going to tell me I'd be better off using them as actual, um vehicles?

Mr. Bean’s F1 didn’t
depreciate at all, and he crashed it a few times

This car has changed hands a few times (and wasn’t even an LM-spec out of the factory, that was done in 200o), but it looks like the last owner has had it for at least 10 years, so I’m sure he’s still up $10 million or more.
T hen again, it probably has more airline miles than real miles. While 13,000 miles is a good number for one of these (it’s done it’s fair share of ‘tours’ ), the owner had it flown back to the factory in Surrey before and after every single road trip. That must not have been cheap!

I’m honestly surprised that it didn’t surpass the estimates. I really believed this was going to sell for about $25MM.
